Mountaineers Lead CCC with 22 Winter All-Academic Selections

LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon athletic department boasted the most All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Academic winter selections with 24 student-athletes receiving the award, the CCC announced.

The Mountaineers easily had the most honorees from the CCC with Southern Oregon ranking second with 16. EOU women's basketball led with eight selections, followed by men's basketball and women's wrestling with six each, and men's wrestling added four.
 
In order to qualify for All-CCC honors, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA and they must have a sophomore standing. The men's basketball team boasts six selections, followed by women's basketball with five and men's wrestling with two. These are the first two All-Academic honorees in EOU men's wrestling history.
