Owls Fly Past Mountaineers 4-0

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- The Eastern Oregon men's soccer team fell to Oregon Tech 4-0 Friday afternoon in Cascade Collegiate play.
 
The first half was a very physical battle between both teams, fouls being called on each side ith 14 in total in the opening 45 minutes. The Owl's found the back of the net at the 11-minute mark when Cade Roske crossed the ball into the mix where John Sarna scored his third goal of the season.
 
OIT's (7-2-2, 4-2-0 CCC) offense did not let up after the break, scoring two goals in quick succession. The second of the afternoon came when they slipped a ball through the Mountaineer defense, putting it past keeper Max Rose. Less than 30 seconds later, they increased the lead to 3-0.
 
Brock Rideout finished off the scoring for Oregon Tech when he beat his defender and put the ball into the back of the net, just before the end of 90 minutes.
 
The Mountaineers had the shot advantage over the Owl's 16-13 throughout the match with four on goal. Calvin Mitchell led the team in shots with three, two on goal.
 
The Mounties will head to Southern Oregon Saturday at 11 a.m. to finish the weekend on the road.
