LA GRANDE, Ore. – The (RV) Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team is back in familiar territory, as the Mountaineers will host a Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament game for the fifth-consecutive year.

EOU will square off against sixth-seeded Northwest tomorrow in La Grande at 7 p.m.


SEASON OVERVIEW
The Mountaineers claimed the third seed in the 2016 CCC Tournament after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 20-9, including a 16-4 mark in league play.

EOU has won seven of its last eight contests and is shooting over 48 percent in the month of February. The squad boasts an 8-3 record at home.

The Mountaineers are 12-0 this season when they hit 10 or more three's, and the team is tied for first in the CCC in scoring defense (54.6 points/game).


THE OPPONENT
Northwest enters tomorrow's affair at 15-15 overall and 10-10 in CCC play. The Eagles capped the regular season with a four-game winning streak, and the team is averaging nearly 85 points per game in the month of February thanks to a 52 percent shooting clip.

Jordan Asher leads Northwest in scoring (12.4 points/game) and nails over two three's per game. Meanwhile, Miranda Langenhorst tallies 8.8 points and pulls down a team-best 6.4 boards per contest.

As a team, Northwest ranks second in the CCC in both scoring (74.2 points/game) and rebounding (42.1 per game). The Eagles are also third in assists (16.8 per game).


SERIES HISTORY
EOU has won 14-straight games vs. Northwest, with the last loss (67-60) coming on Feb. 19, 2010.

This season, the Mountaineers collected a pair of double-digit victories over the Eagles and hit 29 three's in the two games combined.


LAST MEETING
On Jan. 30, EOU left Kirkland, Wash., with an 81-64 triumph thanks to a career-high 31 points from senior guard Jordan Klebaum. The Mountaineers nailed 15 three's and led by as many as 18 points on multiple occasions.
