SALT LAKE CITY – The EOU men's basketball team played its second and final game of the Griffin Classic in Salt Lake City on Saturday afternoon, battling Cal Miramar in an exhibition contest for the Blue and Gold.
Despite a heartbreaking loss the night before, EOU (5-2), controlled Cal Miramar from the very beginning and dominated the Fighting Falcons, 127-64. In fact, the Mountaineers never trailed Cal Miramar (0-5), and the two were only tied once, which came during the first minute of the contest when the score was knotted at 0-0.
The Mounties earned their first 100-plus point game since the 2015-2016 campaign off an offense that was firing on all cylinders, scoring 58 points in the first half and 69 points in the second stanza. For the game, EOU shot 58.9 percent from field goal range, 55.3 percent from the three-point arc, and 88.2 percent from the charity stripe.

Cole Ashby each scored 15 points to lead the way for EOU.
Not far behind was junior wing
Austin Strock who netted 14 points while also dishing out three assists and six total rebounds.
