CCC Opener
The Eastern Oregon University volleyball team opens up Cascade Collegiate Conference action tomorrow night when they travel to play College of Idaho. The Mountaineers square off with the Yotes at 7 p.m. MT.
 
CCC Action
On Sept. 12th and 13th, the Mountaineers travel to Olympia and Kirkland, Wash. to face Evergreen State and Northwest.
 
Last Time Out
The last time the Mountaineers took the court, EOU defeated Walla Walla University in its last non-conference match of the season. The Mountaineers were led by Kasaundra Tuma, who recorded 11 kills in the match and a hitting percentage of .917. Kendra De Hoog followed with 10 kills.
 
Top 15
Casey Loper, Jessalyn Smith and Rachelle Chamberlain rank in the top 15 of the NAIA in three different statistical categories. Loper ranks seventh in kills with 176. Smith is 13th in the nation with 228 digs, while Chamberlain is 14th in the NAIA with 413 assists.
 
Coaches Top 25 Poll
The next Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll comes out tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 9th.
 
Non-Conference Action
Last Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, the Mountaineers closed out its last non-conference match of the season. EOU went 10-1 in non-conference action this season. Its lone loss came to No. 8 Biola (Calif.) in the Concordia Labor Day Tournament. This is the second straight season the Mountaineers won 10 non-conference games.
 
Next Home Game
The next time the Mountaineers are at home are Sept. 19th and 20th when they host Corban and Northwest Christian at Quinn Coliseum.
