Coming Games
The Eastern Oregon University women's soccer team heads to Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend to take part in the 2014 Westminster Fall Classic. The Mountaineers will face Arizona Christian Firestorm on Friday and play host Westminster Griffins on Saturday. Both games will be played at Dumke Field.
 
Looking at the Opponents
Arizona Christian

Coming into this weekend, the Firestorm of Arizona Christian have a record of 1-3 on the season. They opened up the season with a 2-0 win over Southwest (N.M.) before dropping the next three. On the season, the Firestorm have scored three goals, all by different players. Arizona Christian is allowing 2.25 goals per game.
Westminster
Westminster comes into the game with a perfect 3-0-0 record. The Griffins opened up the season with a 1-0 victory over NCAA Division I Weber State (Utah). Abby Holbrook leads the Griffins with two goals on the season. Miranda Olsen has the only assist on the season for the Griffins. This weekend's game against EOU will be the home opener for Westminster.
 
All-Time Verse
This weekend will be the first time in school history that EOU will face Arizona Christian. The Mountaineers and Griffins have met one other time in the history of EOU women's soccer. In 2010, the Griffins defeated EOU, 3-0, as they played in Caldwell, Idaho.
 
California
The Mountaineers opened the season in California last week, and EOU went 0-2-1. The first game of the season the Mountaineers tied No. 15 Cal State San Marcos, 0-0, in double overtime. This was the Mountaineers first tie against a ranked opponent in program history. The next game the Mountaineers were defeated by San Diego Christian, 4-0. The Mountaineers last game, EOU fell to Soka, 4-0.
 
Home Opener
Eastern Oregon University opens its home regular season schedule on Sept. 14th when they play Trinity Lutheran at the EOU Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
