This week, the Mountaineers travel to Ashland, Ore. and Klamath Falls, Ore. to face Southern Oregon University on Friday, Dec. 19 and Oregon Tech on Saturday, Dec. 20. Both games tip at 5:30 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
In the final game of the LC State Classic, the Eastern Oregon University defeated No. 13 Lewis-Clark State, 62-50. EOU held the Warriors to 32 percent shooting from the floor and the fewest points they have scored in a game on the season. Maloree Moss led the Mountaineers (10-3) with 11 points on four-of-seven shooting. Airashay Rogers and Maya Ah You added nine points, apiece, in EOU's fourth consecutive win. Tanis Fuller scored a game-high 19 points for the Warriors (12-2).
 
Adidas Team of the Week
The Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team has been named the Adidas Team of the Week for December 8-14. Eastern Oregon, competing in the Lewis-Clark State Classic in Lewiston, Idaho, earned victories against Simpson University and the host Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College. In the 90-74 win over the Simpson Red Hawks, four Mountaineers scored in double figures led by Madeline Laan and Larissa Quintana with 13 points each. In the final game of the tournament EOU defeated LCSC 62-50. The Warriors are ranked No. 13 in the NAIA D I national poll. Maloree Moss paced the Mountaineers with 11 points on four-of-seven shooting. Airashay Rogers and Maya Ah You added nine points each.
 
Looking at the Opponents
Southern Oregon

The Raiders of Southern Oregon come into this weekend with an overall record of 10-1 and a CCC record of 1-1. The Raiders have won their last three games. In their last game on Dec. 14, Southern Oregon defeated Pacific Union, 90-41. Leading the offensive attack for the Raiders is Alexi Smith, who is averaging 12.5 points per game. On the season, the Raiders have four players scoring in double-figures. Southern Oregon is shooting 48.8 percent from the floor the best in the CCC this season.
Oregon Tech
The Owls of Oregon Tech enter paly this weekend with a record of 12-2 overall and 1-1 in CCC action. Oregon Tech won their last game on Dec. 13, as they defeated New Hope Christian, 75-53. On the season, the Owls are averaging 67.9 points per game. They are led by Tess Armstrong, who is averaging 11.4 points per game. Oregon Tech is only allowing 46.9 points per game, the best in the CCC and the best in the NAIA.
 
Top Scoring Offenses

Friday night's matchup, between Eastern Oregon and Southern Oregon, will feature the top two scoring offenses in the CCC this Season. The Raiders are leading the CCC as they are scoring 83.8 points per game, while the Mountaineers are right behind, scoring 81.8 points per game.
 
Top Defensive Teams
Saturday night's game, between EOU and Oregon Tech, might be an offensive struggle as both teams rank one and two in the CCC for scoring defense. Oregon Tech is only allowing 46.9 points per game, while EOU comes in second only allowing 52.8 points per game. The Owls are holing teams to shoot 30.4 percent from the floor, while teams are shooting 34.6 percent against EOU.
 
Collecting the Boards
Eastern Oregon leads the CCC in rebounding margin on the season. EOU is outrebounding their opponents by a +16.6 margin per game. Southern Oregon comes in second as they are collecting 11.6 more rebounds than their opponents.
 
What's Up Next
Eastern Oregon returns to action on Friday, Jan. 2 when they hosts Concordia. EOU hosts Warner Pacific on Saturday, Jan. 3. Both games start at 5:30 p.m.
