Click here This WeekEastern Oregon University hosts Walla Walla University on Nov. 19 and Simpson on the Nov. 22. These will be the second and third home games of the season for the Mountaineers. EOU's first home game of the season came on Oct. 30 when they hosted Walla Walla.
Saturday Game TimeIn case you have not seen, the Mountaineers game on Saturday against Simpson University has been moved to a 2 p.m. start.
Last WeekLast week, the Mountaineers traveled to Spokane, Wash. to take on Whitworth University. The Mountaineers were defeated by the Pirates, 67-55. This was EOU's first loss of the 2014-15 season.
Kelsey Hill led the Mountaineers with 16 points and
Madeline Laan followed with 13 points.
Larissa Quintana rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points. The Mountaineers offense came out on fire in the first half as they shot 55 percent in the first half and held the Pirates to 29 percent from the floor. After a hot shooting first half, the Mountaineers offense struggled, shooting 33 percent, and Whitworth warmed up as they shot 56 percent in the second half.
Last time Against
Walla WallaFor the second time in two weeks, the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers women's basketball team defeated Walla Walla University, 93-40, on Sunday evening. Early in the first half, the Wolves and Mountaineers were locked in a close battle as both teams struggled shooting the ball.
SimpsonThe Mountaineers squared off against the Red Hawks on Nov. 16, 2013 when EOU went down to Redding, Calif. to take part in the Simpson Classic. EOU concluded the Simpson Classic by defeating host school, Simpson University, 69-47, Saturday evening.
Brittney Newcomb scored a game-high 29 points to lead EOU to its fifth win of the season. EOU led from the start and never looked back against the Red Hawks. The Mountaineers opened the game by scoring the first nine points and leading 9-0 after the first four minutes of action.
What's Up NextAfter this week of games at Quinn Coliseum, the Mountaineers travel to Caldwell, Idaho to participate in the Caldwell Best Western Inn and Suites Lady Classic. The Mountaineers will take on Whitworth University and Westminster College.
