Walla WallaThe Wolves of Walla Walla University enter Thursday's game with a 0-2 record. The Wolves are averaging 25.0 points per game. The last time Walla Walla took to the court was Oct. 26 when they played Rocky Mountain. The Battlin' Bears defeated the Wolves, 98-27. Michaela Garcia leads the team in scoring with 13.5 points per game.
GonzagaGonzaga University will play its only exhibition contest of the season on Sunday against EOU. Last season, Gonzaga was 29-5 last season and were led by Haiden Palmer. Gonzaga looks to replace Palmer who led the team in points per game (15.1), rebounds per game (5.5), and steals per game (3.1).
Last Time OutThe last time the Mountaineers took the court was on Oct. 18. EOU claimed their second win of the season as they defeated New Hope Christian College, 80-52.
Nikki Osborne led the Mountaineers with 23 points and nine rebounds.
Kassy Larson followed with 15 points. The Mountaineers out-rebounded the Deacons, 55-32.
Coaches' Preseason PollAccording to a poll released by the conference office, Eastern Oregon was picked to finish second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Mountaineers earned two first-place votes and 87 points. Last season, Eastern Oregon finished 14-4 in the CCC and advanced to the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship for the third-straight season.

Maya Ah You were named to the preseason team. Osborne, appeared in 31 games last season for EOU and led the team in rebounding as she collected 5.7 rebounds per game. She averaged 6.1 points per game. Ah You redshirted last season. Ah You comes to EOU from Middleton High School.
