LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University women's soccer team fell to Northwest University, 3-1, on Senior Day for the Mountaineers.The Mountaineers came out fighting in the first half, but Northwest quickly took control, the first goal. In the 11
th minute of the game, Aciaia Johnson found the back of the net putting the down, 1-0.
Eastern Oregon tried to answer as Kaeliana De Vera fired a shot, however it was saved by Patty Hughes. Later in the first half,
Danielle Robinson picked up a red card which caused EOU to play a man down for the rest of the game. EOU trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Twenty-two minutes into the second half, the Eagles added to their lead as Jessie Nicholl found Kelsey Greene for a goal, making the score 2-0. Northwest would make it 3-0 eight minutes later, Johnson scored her second goal.
The Mountaineers broke the shutout late in the second half.

Maddi Cillay, her second goal of the season, trimming the Eagles lead to 3-1, which would also be the final score.
The Mountaineers will travel to Northwest Christian this Thursday to take on the Beacons. They continue to Salem to take on Corban University on Saturday to finish out their conference season.
