According to a poll released by the conference office, Eastern Oregon was picked to finish second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Mountaineers earned two first-place votes and 87 points. Last season, Eastern Oregon finished 14-4 in the CCC and advanced to the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship for the third-straight season.

Nikki Osborne and freshman guard
Maya Ah You were named to the preseason team. Osborne, appeared in 31 games last season for EOU and led the team in rebounding as she collected 5.7 rebounds per game. She averaged 6.1 points per game. Ah You redshirted last season. Ah You comes to EOU from Middleton High School.
NAIA Top 25The NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top 25 will not be released until Oct. 28.
Last Season Against New Hope ChristianLast season the Mountaineers hosted New Hope Christian College for two games. EOU came away with two victories over the Deacons. In the first game,Eastern Oregon won their home opener as they defeated New Hope Christian College, 88-51.
Nicole Redd led the Mountaineers with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. The very next day, they won their third straight game to start the 2013-14 season with a, 68-43, over New Hope Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
Taylor Riley led EOU with 16 points.

Key LossesEOU looks to replace seniors
Brittney Newcomb and
Nicole Redd, who both were named First Team All-CCC last season. Newcomb, led the Mountaineers with 22.4 points per game and was named CCC Player of the Year and NAIA Second Team All-American. Redd, a four year member of the EOU women's basketball team, led the Mountaineers in assists and steals and was second on the team in scoring.
All-Time Winningest CoachHead Coach
Anji Weissenfluh returns for her 15th season at EOU. During her time at Eastern Oregon, Weissenfluh has compiled a record of 300-120 overall record and 176-58 in CCC action. Weissenfluh is the All-Time Winningest Coach in EOU history.
Home OpenerThe Mountaineers will open up its home schedule on Nov. 8 when they host Walla Walla University at 7 p.m.
What's Up NextThe Eastern Oregon University returns to the court on Nov. 2 when they travel to Spokane, Wash. for an exhibition game against Gonzaga University.
