Breast Cancer Awareness
This weekend at Quinn Coliseum is Coaches' vs. Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness. The Mountaineers coaching staff will be wearing sneakers with their suits as they coach this weekend. The Mountaineers women's team will be wearing its pink uniforms and coaching staff will be wearing pink during its game.
No. 16
The Mountaineers dropped two spots in the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. EOU came in at No. 16 in the sixth edition of the Poll.
Scouting the Opponents
Warner Pacific
The Knights of Warner Pacific come into the matchup against EOU with a 6-15 overall record and 2-8 in CCC action. The Knights enter the game after defeated Concordia, 75-62, on Jan. 25th in its last game. Warner Pacific is led by Jordan Wilcox who is averaging 9.9 points per game. On the season the Knights are scoring 63.5 points per game and allowing 72.6. The Knights and Mountaineers met previously this season at Warner Pacific on Jan. 4. The Mountaineers came away with 86-53 victory.
Concordia
Concordia enters the weekend with a 4-18 record and 1-9 in CCC action. Concordia comes into the weekend after dropping its last game to Warner Pacific, 75-62. On the season the Cavaliers are scoring 65.7 points per game and shooting 37.5 percent from the floor. Leading the way for Concordia is Caitlyn McCutcheon, who is averaging 12.6 points per game. In a previous matchup between EOU and Concordia this season, the Mountaineers came away with a 80-64 victory over Concordia.
Last Weekend
Last Weekend the Mountaineers went 1-1 and saw its 29 straight conference winning streak snapped. The Mountaineers lost to Oregon Tech last Friday, Jan. 24, 58-50. EOU struggled offensively in the contest as they shot 28 percent from the floor and went the last 4 minutes and 50 seconds of the game scoreless. Eastern Oregon rebounded on Saturday night as they came back from a nine point halftime deficit to defeat Southern Oregon, 89-80. The Mountaineers used a 20-0 run in the second half to take control of the game and never looked back on its way to its victory.

Senior guard,
Brittney Newcomb leads the Nation in free throw percentage. On the season Newcomb is shooting 90.6 percent from the free throw line. The next closest player to Newcomb is Julie Raeder of Cardinal Stritch University who is shooting 89.9 percent from the free throw line.
Three Game Lead
The Eastern Oregon University at 10-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and holds a three game lead over Oregon Tech, Northwest and College of Idaho, all are 7-4 in conference action.
Home Court Advantage
The Mountaineers looked to continue its home court advantage this weekend when they host Warner Pacific and Concordia. EOU has won 32 straight contests at Quinn Coliseum. EOU is 10-0 at home this season. The last loss for EOU at Quinn Coliseum came on Jan. 7, 2012 when then-No. 22 Corban defeated EOU, 73-59.
