Once the Eagles hit their second field goal of the half, Northwest went on a 10-2 run that trimmed the Mountaineers lead down to 58-26. Corrinne Burke led the charge for the Eagles as she scored five of the 10 points.

Northwest's offense looked to be heating up after going cold for ten minutes as the Eagles went on a 13-4 run to cut the Mountaineers lead down to 60-42. However, the Mountaineers had an answer and scored the next six points to extend its lead back to a 24 point lead. EOU continued to add to its lead and came away with a 71-48 victory.
