Co-Favorites
The Eastern Oregon University Women's Basketball team was tabbed co-favorites with College of Idaho to win the 2013-14 Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball crown, according to the poll released by the conference office. The defending league champions earned 87 points and tallied two first place votes.

Preseason All-CCC Team
Senior Guard Nicole Redd was named to the Preseason All-Conference Women's Basketball team. Redd was the fourth leading vote getting and was the only Mountaineer selected to the team. Red averaged 8.9 poitns per game and 2.7 rebounds per game last year for EOU.

Season Openers
During the last five seasons the Mountaineers are 5-0 in season opening games. EOU has played Walla Walla University two previous meetings in Eastern Oregon's season opener. The Mountaineers came away with two victories over the Wolves. Last season the Mountaineers defeated New Hope Christian to start the season.

Last Season vs. Walla Walla
Last season the Mountaineers played Walla Walla twice and EOU came away with two victories. Eastern Oregon defeated Walla Walla, 84-32, on Oct. 31st and then against on Jan. 12, 84-39.

Last Season vs. New Hope Christian
Eastern Oregon opened its season last year by facing New Hope Christian. The Mountaineers defeated New Hope Christian, 67-50, on Oct. 26. The following day EOU defeated the Deacons, 83-40.

Recapping 2012-13
In 2012-13 the Mountaineers claimed the Cascade Collegiate Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships. EOU compiled a record of 33-3 and a perfect 18-0 in CCC action. Eastern Oregon advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championships for the second straight year. Entering this season the Mountaineers will lost five key seniors from the 2012-13 squad. Two key losses are Brooke Randall and Kelsea Hurliman. Both were First Team All-CCC selections last season and Randall was named NAIA Third Team All-American.
