Warner Pacific College enters the weekend tied atop the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings with Corban. WPC has won eight straight games, the longest win streak in the CCC. The Knights have won 12 of their past 13 games, with the lone loss coming to No. 10 Corban on the road by one point in overtime. WPC avenged the loss with a win last week at home over Corban. Chelsey Christensen leads Warner Pacific 15.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. She was named the Red Lion Conference Player of the Week for the second time this week. Transfer Nichole Jackson is fourth in NAIA Div. 2 in assists per game with 5.91. As a team, WPC is fifth in the country in assist to turnover ratio. The Knights are fourth in the conference in scoring offense and defense.
ABOUT THE CAVALIERS
Concordia is 8-19 overall and 4-12 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action. The Lady Cavs are holding onto the eighth and final seed in the CCC tournament currently. CU has won four of its 12 road games this season. Concordia broke a seven game losing streak with a win at home over Northwest Christian in its last game. Rachel Scarpelli is averaging a team-high 13 points per game. Scarpelli's 2.36 three-pointers made per game is second in the conference. Senior Courtney May averages a team-high 3.04 assists per game. She is sixth in the CCC in assist to turnover ratio. Scarpelli Lexi Amundsen leads the team with 4.37 rebounds. The Cavaliers are holding opponents to 27 percent shooting from behind the perimeter this season, while shooting 71 percent from the free throw line.
