LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team hosts No. 12 Warner Pacific and Concordia on the final weekend of the regular season Friday and Saturday. The weekly notes are now available.

THE SERIES
* Eastern is 2-8 in its last 10 games at WPC, but has won four straight regular season games at home over the Knights.
* Warner Pacific's last regular season win in La Grande was Feb. 3, 2007, 78-72.
* WPC has won two CCC semifinal games in Quinn Coliseum in the past four years.
* The Mountaineers own the all-time series over Warner Pacific, 26-22.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
After being picked seventh in the Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason coaches' poll, Warner Pacific College enters the final weekend of the regular season a half-game out of second place in the CCC standings. WPC has secured a CCC Tournament first round game at home. The Knights are 12-1 at home this year, and 9-5 away from the C.C. Perry Gymnasium. WPC has a 21-6 overall record and is 13-3 in conference play. The Knights are first in NAIA Div. 2 in steals per game (11.74) and second in assists per game (17.85). Warner Pacific's +5.44 turnover margin leads the country. Newcomer William Sharp leads the Knights with 12.2 points and 2.5 steals per outing which is sixth in the nation. WPC has the top two assist-makers in the conference, Dane Johnson 6.3 and William Sharp 4.7 per game.

ABOUT THE CAVALIERS
Concordia appears to be the seventh seed in this season's CCC Tournament. CU (14-13, 6-10) has won eight of their 14 games at home, but is 6-7 on the road. The Cavaliers are coming off of back-to-back losses at home to Corban and Northwest Christian. Concordia has had an up-and-down season, including an upset win over No. 1 Oregon Tech in Portland. Adam Herman is averaging 19.57 points per game, and leads NAIA Div. 2 shooting 68 percent from the field. The sophomore is second in the conference in points and rebounds per game (7.7). As a team, CU is second in the nation in field goal percentage (.509) and third in three-point field goal percentage defense (.294). Drew Preuninger leads the conference in three-pointer made per game hitting 2.93 per contest.
