 Spokane, Wash. – The Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team defeated Montana Tech Friday afternoon by a score of 71 - 46.
 
Korrie Bourn lead all scorers with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Nicole Redd added 11 points and 4 assists.
 
In the first half the Mountaineers (3-0) shot 32% from the field and 33% from behind the arc. The Orediggers (2-1) shot 41% from the field and 22% from the three-point line. Brooke Randall led EOU at half with 11 points.  The Mountaineers went into halftime up, 32-27.
 
In the second half the Mountaineers got their offense rolling. EOU shot 50% from the field as well as from three. EOU held Montana Tech to 26% shooting from the field and 16% from behind the arc. 
 
Mandy Machinal lead Montana Tech with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
 
The Lady Mountaineers will be in action tomorrow against Carroll College. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
