Box Score Caldwell, Idaho - The Eastern Oregon women's basketball team took on Westminster College (Utah) tonight losing 59-60 .
The Griffins (5-1), ranked No. 5 in the NAIA Division I, came back from a five-point second half deficit to defeat the NAIA Division II No. 10 ranked Mountaineers (6-2).
In the first half the Mountaineers would lead by as much as six points with 3:49 left in the half but a couple of quick baskets by the Griffins would cut Eastern's lead to just a basket going into the half, 27-25.
With just two minutes into the second half, the two teams would be tied at 28-28 before Westminster would take the lead by four. EOU would then work to close the small gap and regain control.
Eastern would extend their lead by as much as six. The Griffins would not give up, forcing a tie twice before taking the lead by one with just 39 seconds left ending the game with a score of 59-60.
Brooke Randall had 18 points to lead Eastern, and
Kelsea Hurliman added 12.
Allie Eastman led Westminster with 20 points. Teammates Nicole Yazzie contributed with 15 points and Cydney Tibbetts added 14 points and eight rebounds.
