THE SERIES
* Friday will only be the 13th meeting all-time between Eastern and NCU.
* The Mountaineers have an 10-2 lead in the all-time series.
* The Beacons won the first meeting, 100-85, in the 1988-89 season in Eugene.
* EOU has never lost to Northwest Christian in La Grande (7-0), but is 3-2 in Eugene against them. The Beacons last beat Eastern on Feb. 21, 2009, 75-64.

ABOUT THE BEACONS
Northwest Christian comes into the weekend with an 8-9 overall record and it has won one of its first five conference games. The Beacons have struggled to find consistency so far this season beginning the season alternating between losses and wins to a 4-4 record, and they have put two wins together twice since that start. Jordan Buhler leads NCU averaging 11.82 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The junior was named the Red Lion Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week two weeks ago. Brian Hampton leads Northwest Christian with 2.59 assists per outing. Jordan Myers averages 1.77 steals per contest and is 15th in NAIA Div. 2 in assist to turnover ratio. As a team, NCU is 15th in the nation in scoring defense per game, three-point field goal percentage, and total steals.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS
Corban University began the season picked fifth in the conference preseason poll, and have a 10-7 overall and a 2-3 CCC record. The Warriors have key experience on their 2011-12 team with seven seniors and four juniors. However, one of their best players is a sophomore, Jordan Carter. He is averaging 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. Carter is 10th in the country shooting 49 percent from behind the arc. Erik Cronrath leads Corban with 16 points per outing. The senior is shooting 64 percent from the field, which is sixth in NAIA Div. 2. The Warriors 142 made three-pointers this season is fourth in the country, and their 268 assists is seventh. Corban is holding opponents to 63.8 points per game, which is 11th in the country.
