LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The No. 8 Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team hosts Northwest University and The Evergreen State College Friday and Saturday on Retro Weekend in Quinn Coliseum.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
Northwest is 8-10 overall and 5-6 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play entering the weekend. The Eagles are led by all-around phenom, Jessalyn Jackson. The senior is putting together a conference player of the year type of season. She leads the CCC in points (20.65), rebounds (12.0) and blocks (5.0) per game. Jackson is first in NAIA Div. 2 in blocks per game, total blocks, and rebounds per game. She is also third in the country in defensive rebounds per game and seventh in offensive rebounds per game. As a team, NU is third in the nation in blocks per game averaging 6.3. Their 114 total blocks is fifth in the country. Domi Mendezona is seventh in NAIA Div. 2 in assists per game with 5.3. Northwest is first in the CCC in scoring offense (71.1), but last in scoring defense (69.7).

ABOUT THE GEODUCKS
The Evergreen State College has won four of its 20 games this season, and is 2-9 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. TESC is one-game behind Northwest Christian just over the halfway mark of the conference schedule for eighth place and the final spot in the CCC Tournament. The Geoducks are 1-7 away from the College Recreation Center on the Evergreen campus this season. TESC has lost seven straight games. Evergreen is 16th in NAIA Div. 2 in offensive rebounds per game (16.2) and field goal percentage defense (.358). Danielle Swain powers the Geoducks with an average of 14.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. Sami Clark is throwing an average of 3.5 assists and coming up with an average of 2.9 steals per game, which is 10th in the country.
