LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University track and field team treks to Spokane for the Washington-Oregon Challenge.

MEET INFORMATION
Northwest Scoring Clash – Washington vs. Idaho, Montana and Oregon. Participants include CC of Spokane, Central Washington, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Seattle Pacific, Seattle University, Washington State and Whitworth VS. Eastern Oregon, Treasure Valley, Lewis-Clark State, Northwest Nazarene, University of Idaho, Boise State University, Great Falls University and University of Montana. QUICK HITS
* After three outdoor meets, Eastern Oregon has five NAIA auto-qualifying mark. The Mountaineers
landed four auto marks just last weekend at the Willamette Invitational.
* EOU has had eight of its track and field athletes tabbed Athlete of the Week so far in 2011 in indoor and outdoor track and field.
* The Mountaineers have had four national athletes of the week in 2011.
* Karlee Coffey owns the top time currently in the women's 10,000 meters in the NAIA.
* The top time in the NAIA in the women's 800 meters belongs to Alma Garcilazo.
* Robbie Haynie recorded the top mark currently in the NAIA at the Willamette Invitational.
* Robbie Haynie has the top mark in the men's long jump currently in the Cascade Conference.

COFFEY AND HAYNIE GRAB CONFERENCE HONORS
Eastern Oregon University track and field student-athletes, Karlee Coffey and Robbie Haynie, were each named Red Lion Cascade Collegiate Conference Athletes of the Week Monday. Coffey received the women's track athlete of the week nod after she crushed the women's 10,000-meter field en route to a new school record at the Willamette Invitational last Friday. The CCC men's field athlete of the week tab went to Haynie, who finished with the top mark in the NAIA so far this season in the pole vault.

LAST TIME OUT
Eastern Oregon University track and field student-athlete, Karlee Coffey, crushed the women's 10,000-meter field en route to a new school record at the Willamette Invitational last Friday. Robbie Haynie finished with the top mark in the NAIA so far this season in the pole vault. The junior's top mark of 4.95 meters (16-02.75.) matched the top mark of the meet. Haynie won the men's high jump with a top leap of six-feet, eight inches. The junior just missed the NAIA auto-mark, but hit a NAIA provisional mark. Damion Flores later raced to the fourth fastest time in the 5,000 meters in the NAIA so far this season. The sophomore ran a 14:42.54 NAIA automatic qualifying time. Terry Johnsen ran a provisional qualifying mark of 31:50.40 in the 10,000 meters. Alma Garcilazo, raced to a first place finish in the women's 800 meters Saturday. Ryan Booth also hit the NAIA “B” standard with a fourth place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.23.

HOME MEET INFORMATION
There is no admission price for fans who attend a home meet for Eastern Oregon. But, fans are asked to not bring their pets to the meet. Pets are not allowed on any EOU athletic field. Live results from the EOU Open can be found at EOUSports.com
