EOU Home Track & Field Meet Cancelled

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon track and field team has cancelled its meet, the EOU Team Challenge, due to forecasted weather. The meet was scheduled for this Saturday, March 14 at the Banner Bank Track.
 
Weather forecasted for Saturday includes high wins, temperatures in the 20s and 30s and potential for snow.
 
The meet was scheduled to be the first outdoor meet of the season, on the heels of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships last week. The Mountaineers took 7th on the women's side and 17th on the men's.
 
The next outdoor meet is scheduled for March 21 at the NNU Open in Nampa, Idaho. EOU will still host one other meet this year with the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships on May 8 and 9.
