FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University track and field travels to the University of Pacific Twilight meet Friday and Saturday.
MEET INFORMATION
The Pacific Twilight meet will take place on Friday and Saturday at Lincoln Park Stadium. The meet is a two-day event for the first time in the meet's four-year history. Friday's events include the javelin, hammer, triple jump, steeplechase, 1,500 meters and 10,000 meters. The remainder of the schedule will be contested on Saturday. With it's reputation for past times and quality competition, the Pacific Twilight is once again attracting teams from every level of collegiate track and field. NCAA Div. 1, 2 and 3 programs will be at the meet along with NAIA and NJCAA. Live results from the meet can be found at

QUICK HITS
* Eastern hit an NAIA auto mark last year at Pacific in the women's 4x800-meter relay.
* After four outdoor meets, Eastern Oregon has 12 NAIA auto-qualifying marks. The Mountaineers
had one auto-mark last weekend as
Karlee Coffey clinched a 5,000-meter berth.
* EOU has had 11 of its track and field athletes tabbed Athlete of the Week so far in 2011 in indoor and outdoor track and field in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

COFFEY AND FLORES RECEIVE WEEKLY CONFERENCE HONORS

Karlee Coffey and
Damion Flores were named Red Lion Cascade Collegiate Conference track athletes of the week Monday. This is Coffey's second track athlete of the week honor this year, but a first for Flores. Coffey received the conference runner of the week honor four times during this year's cross country season. Flores has been nominated twice for the track recognition. EOU now has 11 of its track and field athletes tabbed Athlete of the Week so far in 2011.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eastern Oregon University track and field team wrapped up the Oregon Relays with two new school records Saturday.
Alma Garcilazo ran the third fastest time in the NAIA this season finishing seventh in the women's 800 meters. The junior finished with a time of 2:09. The mark broke her previous school record.
Kimmy Moore raced to a fourth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a new school record of 63.03 seconds. Her time shaves .86 off the EOU record she set two weeks ago in Spokane.
Karlee Coffey hit an NAIA auto mark in the women's 5,000 meters. The sophomore finished sixth with a time of 17:00.81, the fastest time in the Cascade Conference currently. It is the third best in the NAIA. The La Grande native owns the top mark in the conference in the 10,000 meters and fourth best in the NAIA so far this season.
Damion Flores won his heat of the men's 5,000 meters crossing the line with a time of 14:32.25. That time breaks his previous season best of 14:42.54.
HOME MEET INFORMATION
There is no admission price for fans who attend a home meet for Eastern Oregon. But, fans are asked to not bring their pets to the meet. Pets are not allowed on any EOU athletic field.
