LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The latest edition of the game notes for Eastern Oregon University women's basketball is available now. The Mountaineers host Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon in Quinn Coliseum this weekend.
THE SERIES
* The Mountaineers have won eight of the last nine over Oregon Tech.
* Eastern Oregon has won 29 of the 41 all-time meetings against the Lady Owls.

ABOUT THE LADY OWLS
Oregon Tech (10-11, 2-7) enters the weekend 4-7 away from Klamath Falls this season. The Owls are 11th in NAIA Div. 2 in total assists after throwing 313. OIT is 19th in the country in rebounds per game with 42.9 per outing. Brittany Cherry's 174 rebounds this season is 15th in the nation. Oregon Tech is tied for ninth in the Cascade Conference standings with Evergreen State after beating Northwest Christian and Evergreen. The Owls are 2-5 in their last seven games.
ABOUT THE RAIDERS
Southern Oregon (13-8) (6-3) has scored the 10th most amount of points in NAIA Div. 2 this season, 1,513. They're pulling down the 11th most amount of rebounds per game, 44.6. The Raiders are riding the conference's longest winning streak at the moment at four games. SOU has won those four games by an average of 18 points. Southern has also won wix of its last eight games. It beat CCC-leader Northwest, and lost to co-leader Concordia by two points. Southern Oregon's other loss was to The College of Idaho. SOU was picked second in the CCC preseason poll.
LAST TIME OUT
Corban University handed Eastern Oregon its fifth straight loss, 75-64. The Warriors were led by Tess Bennett's 22 points. The sophomore was 8 for 13 from the field. The Mountaineers had won the previous seven meetings against Corban. CU shot 43 percent from the field, and made 3 of its 10 three-point attempts. The Warriors were 14 of 18 from the free throw line. Four Mountaineers finished in double figures
Samantha Flett and
Shaylee Nielsen each had 11 points.
Kelsea Hurliman and
Rosebud Guthrie each scored 10 points. Northwest Christian held off EOU the previous night in Eugene, 66-61. Hope Williams scored a game-high 16 points for the Beacons.
Rosebud Guthrie led Eastern with 15 points.
START TIMES SWITCH BACK
The Eastern Oregon University women's and men's basketball game times for this Friday flipped to women's game first at 5:30 p.m. and men's will follow. The new time alignment for the 2010-11 season has entered the second half of the Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule and will turn back to its traditional tipoff times as in years past. The rest of the CCC games this season will be women's games at 5:30 p.m. and men's games at 7:30 p.m.
WHITE OUT HITS QUINN COLISEUM
Fans are encouraged to wear white Friday night against Oregon Tech. Every fan who is wearing a white shirt will walk out of Quinn Coliseum with a giveaway. Prizes will be given all night from local businesses. The first 100 fans will receive a free Mountaineer rally towel.
LONG DISTANCE SPECIALISTS
The Mountaineers are second in the nation in three-point percentage shooting 39 percent from behind the perimeter. EOU is ninth in NAIA Div. 2 holding opponents to 26 percent shooting from behind the arc. Eastern has won its games by an average of 13.7 points. Eastern Oregon is averaging 9.5 three-pointers per game, which is fifth in NAIA Div. 2.

Shaylee Nielsen are sixth and 18th in the country in three-point field goal percentage.
Kelsea Hurliman is 29th in the same stat category.
UNSELFISH MOUNTIES
Eastern is 13th in NAIA Div. 2 averaging 16.8 assists per game. The Mountaineers have dished out 303 assists this year. EOU has a turnover margin of +2.55 and is 10th in the country in assist to turnover ratio.
Kyle Miller is 20th in the country in assist to turnover margin.
DEADLY DEFENSE
Eastern has stymied its opponents in 2010-11. Only two opponents have shot over 50 percent from the field in a game versus the Mountaineers. It's No. 9 NAIA Div. 2 defense from behind the perimeter highlights the EOU defensive honors. Eastern is first in three-point defense field goal percentage (.269), second in the conference in points allowed per game (59.2), and is third in field goal percentage defense (.377).
CRAZY CONFERENCE
The Cascade Collegiate Conference has had six teams appear in the NAIA Div. 2 Top 25 rating at sometime this season. That's more than any other conference in the nation. After beginning the season as the preseason favorite, The College of Idaho, was ranked No. 19 in the preseason poll. Concordia took their place in the first rating and was joined by Eastern Oregon in the second ranking, as EOU was No. 24. No team has climbed higher than Concordia's No. 15 rating. Northwest is currently the lone CCC team in the poll at No. 20. Corban and Concordia are each receiving votes.
