Seniors Shine in Sweep

Eastern Oregon takes out Knights on Senior Night

The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers beat Warner Pacific tonight winning, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

A night that honored six seniors, Grace Deboodt, Chelsea Herron, Ashleigh Dailey, Julie Butterfield, Noelle Carstens, and Danielle Kelley.

Those seniors led the way for EOU as Grace Deboodt tallied eight kills and 10 digs. Senior teammates Ashleigh Dailey 11 kills, Chelsea Herron 12 assists, and Julie Butterfield, Noelle Carstens and Danielle Kelley three kills apiece.

Warner Pacific was led by Leah Gradwohl with 10 kills and 12 digs, while Melita Elliot had 17 assists.

Eastern will play again tomorrow afternoon against Concordia at 3 p.m.

The Mountaineers lost to Concordia on September 18, 27-25, 16-25, 20-25, 25-21, 17-15.

After tonight's games Concordia sits above Eastern in the CCC standings with a record of 13-4, EOU 12-5.

The Mountaineers game tomorrow will close out the regular season. A win for the College of Idaho tomorrow night would secure Caldwell as the host site for the 2009 CCC Tournament to be held on November 13 and 14.
