Biography

Personal- Born Leigh Anne MacCarthy on March 10, 1991 in Dallas, Oregon. Parents: Don and Sarah MacCarthy. Family: Shannin. High School: Central High School. Major: range Ecology and Management. Chose Eastern Oregon because “it had a nice small community, great volleyball team, and good academics.”
High School- Participated in volleyball, swim team, and tennis. While playing volleyball MacCarthy was selected two time All-League MVP, 1st team All-League, 1st team All-State, 2nd team All-State, 1st team All-Region, finished 1st and 3rd at the State Championships. Swimming she was 7th at state in breaststroke, honorable mention All-League one year, 2nd team All-League another. In tennis MacCarthy and her doubles partner finished district 2 Champions twice, 2nd at the State Tournament one year and finished 1st in 2009. Overall her team placed 3rd at state and she was selected the 2009 All-Region player of the year along with my partner.
Off the Court- Hobbies: Running, biking, swimming, hunting and fishing. Favorite Movie: Miss Congeniality. Favorite Musician: Owl City. Favorite Food: Blueberries.
