2019 • Junior: Named the CCC Libero of the Year for the second straight season after appearing in all 36 matches for the Navy & Gold … Selected to the All-CCC First Team after leading the league in total digs and digs per set at 667 and 5.09 per set, respectively … Ranked 27th overall in the NAIA in total digs and was 50th in digs per set … Ranked second in the CCC in services aces with 44 and posted a career-high of five against Oregon Tech on Nov. 2 … Tallied double-digit digs in every match, including a season best of 30 against Westmont (Calif.) on Dec. 6 … Earned CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors six times … Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-First First Team for the second straight year and garnered CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team honors … Also garnered NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and was named to the U.S. Bank CCC All-Academic Team for a second consecutive year and for her work in the classroom.
2018 • Sophomore: Selected as the CCC’s Co-Libero of the Year after playing in all 34 matches for Eastern … Also earned Honorable Mention All-CCC accolades … Led the CCC in digs per set at 4.58 and was second in total digs with 554 … Named CCC Defensive Player of the Week once (9/24) … Put up double-digit digs in 28 matches and had a season best of 28 against Corban (Ore.) on Oct. 26 … Tallied 30 service aces for the year to finish third on the team … Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and U.S. Bank CCC All-Academic Team for her work in the classroom.
2017 • Freshman: Picked as the CCC Freshman of the Year after appearing in all 35 matches for the Mounties as a true freshman … Led the team in digs (544) and digs per set (4.57) …Her total digs ranked fourth in the CCC, while her digs per set ranked fifth … Posted double figure digs in 29 matches, including a career-high of 32 against Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Dec. 1 … Was second on the team in service aces with 28 … Named CCC Defensive Player of the Week once (9/25).
In High School: Was a four-year varsity letterwinner under Coach Chantal McMurtrey at Bonneville High School … As a junior, she was an Honorable Mention All-Conference and All-Area selection as well as being named to the State Honorable Mention All-Tournament Team … In her senior season, McMurtrey was First Team All-Conference and All-Area at Libero … Was a finalist for Player of the Year as a senior and was selected to the State All-Tournament First Team … Finished her prep career with 1,428 digs and had 506 as a senior in 2016 … Racked up 1,423 career assists and 196 career aces … Helped lead her squad to a state Championship in 2016 and Runner-Up finishes in 2013 and 2015 … Led her team to A conference crown in 2016 and a runner-up finish in 2015 … Also competed and lettered in basketball for two seasons (2014-15, 2015-16) … Played club volleyball for three teams, finishing with the Idaho Fall Juniors … Helped lead her Idaho Falls Juniors’ team to Runner-Up finish at the Denver Crossroads National Division 2017.
