2023 • Junior: Played in 16 games and started 11 of those games for the Mounties as a junior... Mekonnen scored a goal against Walla Walla in the 2023 season... Also had 2 points against Walla Walla... Had 2 shots on goal on the season against both Northwest and Walla Walla... Mekonnen tallied 3 assists on the season in the games versus Arizona Christian, Bushnell, and Corban. 

2022 • Sophomore: Played in 17 games for the Mounties in the 2021 season and was tabbed a starter in 4 of those matches... Attempted 5 shots on the season. 

2021 • Freshman: Appeared in seven games as a freshman for the Mounties in the 2021 season… Saw season high of 69 minutes played against Whitworth on Aug. 28.

Personal: Native of Renton, Washington… Prior to joining us at EOU, Mekonnen was a standout Midfielder at Lindbergh High School.
