Zach Mills enters his first season as Eastern Oregon head men's soccer coach. He was named the program's third head coach in program history on July 23, 2018.
 
Mills joins EOU after spending two seasons as the head men's soccer coach at Southwest Mississippi Community College Summit, Mississippi. Under Mills, the Bears had their two best seasons in program history, combining for a 23-10-2 record while making their first two trips to the MACJC/NJCAAA Regional playoffs.

The success of Mills' program translated off the field as the SMCC men's soccer team was named the MACJC men's soccer Academic Team of the Year with a combined 3.33 grade point average.
 
Mills graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He played professional soccer with FC Olimpia in Moquegua, Peru where he led his team in scoring with 32 points. Mills earned his Master of Arts degree in 2018 in teaching languages, with an emphasis on Spanish and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) from USM.
