Biography
Personal- Born Katie Showers on February 19, 1992 in McCall Idaho. Parents: Kathy and Charlie Showers. Family: Max 20, Hanna 16. High School: Big Sky High School. Major: Undecided. Chose Eastern Oregon because “when I took my visit to EOU, the University really set itself apart from other schools I took trips to. I really loved the Coach, the players, and I felt very comfortable right away. I knew EOU was the right school for me.”
High School- While playing basketball and volleyball Showers received academic All-State honors in both sports. During basketball she was voted her teams most improved, captain, and 2nd Team All-State her junior and senior years. In volleyball as a sophomore she was voted the teams most improved player and All-Conference Honorable mention. Junior year best defense and 2nd Team All-Conference, followed by her senior year where she was voted team captain, best offensive and 2nd Team All-State.
Off the Court- Hobbies: Spending time with family and friend, being active, shopping and going to the lake. Favorite Movie: Mean Girls. Favorite Book: Random My Heart and The Time Traveler’s Wife. Favorite Food: Pineapple.
