CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second time this season, Eastern Oregon Volleyball senior outside hitter
Keira Vaughn has been named the
Cascade Collegiate Conference Attacker of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Vaughn, a senior from Eugene, Ore., delivered another dominant weekend for the Mounties, helping EOU earn sweeps over No. 11 Lewis-Clark State and Walla Walla University.
Across the two matches, Vaughn recorded 26 kills on 48 attacks with just two errors, hitting an impressive .500. She averaged 5.20 kills and 5.40 points per set, recording a match-high in kills on both nights. Vaughn also added two blocks and five digs to her weekend totals.
This marks Vaughn's second CCC Attacker of the Week honor of the season after she earned the conference's first weekly award of the year. She continues to rank among the conference leaders, pacing the CCC in total kills (237) while ranking second in kills per set (3.89), third in hitting percentage (.378), third in points per set (4.2), and second in total points (253.5).
Vaughn and the Mountaineers close out the first half of CCC play this week, hosting No. 4 College of Idaho before traveling to face Warner Pacific on Saturday.
