The following weekend, August 21-22, the Mounties head to Fullerton, Calif., for a two-day tournament that will showcase strong non-conference competition. In Fullerton, Eastern will face Life Pacific (Calif.), Northwestern (Iowa), Simpson (Calif.), and Hope International (Calif.). From there, the Mounties travel to conference foe in Boise, ID for a trio of matches against Montana Western, The Master's (Calif.), and Dickinson State (N.D.).
Eastern Oregon will finish the road stand down in the Evergreen State for back-to-back conference matches against The Evergreen State College and Northwest University.
EOU's home opener will kick off September 11 against in-state rival Southern Oregon, slotted for 6 p.m. first serve.
Here's what Head Coach Kaki McLean Morehead said about this year's schedule, "We're excited about the opportunities this fall schedule will provide our group. We know there will be adversity that comes with the amount of travel and the level of competition we'll face, but those experiences are also what make college athletics special. Our team will be challenged in a lot of ways, and we're looking forward to embracing that together. We also return a strong core of experienced players who understand our standards and what it takes to compete at a high level, and that leadership will be extremely valuable throughout the season."
