KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the latest
NAIA Top 25 Poll, Eastern Oregon University Softball moved to No.5 with 426 Points and one first place vote.
The Mountaineers have put together an impressive season, holding a 32–6 overall record and a 14–4 mark in conference play. Since the previous poll, Eastern Oregon went 7–1, including four wins over Warner Pacific University—two by run rule—and three victories over RV University of British Columbia.
As a team, EOU ranks seventh in the nation in RBIs (268), second in walks drawn (163), seventh in on-base percentage (.437), and tied for 11th in home runs (31).
Hannah Ebner is tied for third nationally in saves (4). Within one of the NAIA's strongest conferences, several individuals continue to stand out.
Lexi Grumbois ranks fourth in the CCC in RBIs (41), while
Hope Burke is second in home runs (9), and
Raygun Klippert leads the conference in stolen bases (36). In the circle,
Camille Schmitz ranks third in ERA (1.53) and second in saves (3),
Maliyah Mann is tied for second in wins (14) and fifth in strikeouts (90), and Ebner leads with four saves.
Overall, the Mountaineers have combined strong offensive production with consistent scoring, frequently reaching double digits and securing key wins over ranked opponents. They have capitalized on scoring opportunities, while a reliable pitching staff and near-flawless fielding have helped limit opponents and keep games under control.
Also representing the Cascade Collegiate Conference in the poll, Oregon Tech remained at No. 1, while Southern Oregon moved up to No. 6. College of Idaho (78) and British Columbia (26) also received votes.
