Kiauna Mack Garners Third CCC Player of the Week Award

CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second week in a row and the third time this season, Kiauna Mack of Eastern Oregon University volleyball has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network.

Mack (Puyallup, Wash.) has earned the honor as a defender this week after being recognized as the conference's top attacker the week prior. When she earned CCC Defender of the Week earlier this year, she went on to grab the NAIA nod as well.

It was a big week for Mack and the No. 1 Mountaineers, as they defeated (RV) Bushnell and No. 3 Corban on their home court. Mack was instrumental on both sides of the ball, racking up 14 total blocks (2.00 per set) to shut down the opposing attack in both matches, while also notching 15 kills on an impressive .345 hitting percentage.

The senior middle hitter, now second in the nation in blocks per set, was essential to EOU's success this past weekend and has been all season long as the Mounties remain unbeaten at 14-0.

Next up, Eastern will face No. 17 Lewis-Clark State and (RV) Walla Walla in a pair of road matches.
