CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second time this season,
Kiauna Mack and
Kate Stidham of Eastern Oregon volleyball have both been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Players of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network.
Mack (Puyallup, Wash.) continued her standout senior season with dominant performances on both sides of the ball last weekend. Against No. 19 Southern Oregon, she tallied 12 kills on a .400 hitting percentage, committing only two errors across the four sets. Defensively, Mack was even more disruptive, racking up 10 total blocks to set the tone at the net.
She followed that effort up with another strong showing against (RV) Oregon Tech, finishing with 14 kills, eight blocks, and three digs in a hard-fought five-set victory.
At the heart of the offense, Stidham (Central Point, Ore.) once again showcased her talents with 27 assists and seven digs in the win over SOU. She then raised the bar even further in the marathon match against OIT, dishing out a career-high 34 assists along with 11 digs for her second double-double of the season.
The undefeated Mountaineers and the Mack–Stidham duo will return to action this weekend at Quinn Coliseum, where they'll host Bushnell University and No. 4 Corban University.
