LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon delivered several standout performances on the opening day of the Last Chance Invite at the EOU Fieldhouse, highlighted by Lizzy Grandle setting a school record in the 60-meter hurdles, winning in 8.92 seconds.
Both the men's (Austin Uhl, James Thatcher, Logan Hayes, Maxximus Richmond – 7:52.94) and women's (Riley Morris, Carlee Jensen, Mattie Woodbury, Skotlyn Hill – 9:34.52) 4x800m relay teams took first place, hitting the NAIA "A" Standard.
In field events, Mark Church won the men's weight throw with a mark of 17.78m (58-04.00), achieving the NAIA "B" Standard," while Tyler Jones claimed first in the heptathlon high jump, clearing 2.04m (6-08.25) to also meet the "B" Standard.
