Siegner, Torkornoo Recognized as CCC Players of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – In the final 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Player of the Week release, presented by Urban Edge Network, Eastern Oregon University's Kelsie Siegner and Keilan Torkornoo were recognized for their defensive efforts on the court over the weekend.

Women's Basketball – Defensive
Siegner, a senior guard from Crane, Oregon, put together another standout weekend anchored by elite defensive play. Her consistent all-around impact has been instrumental in extending Eastern Oregon's win streak to 12 games and opening conference play with a perfect 4–0 record.

Over the two contests, Siegner totaled 22 rebounds—18 on the defensive end—along with 3 steals. She led all players on the glass in both games, pulling down 9 rebounds against Northwest and 13 versus Evergreen. A key contributor on both ends of the floor, Siegner recorded her fourth double-double of the season against Evergreen, finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

These performances earned Siegner her third consecutive Player of the Week honor and the sixth of her career.

Men's Basketball – Defensive
Torkornoo (Saratoga Springs, Utah) anchored the Mountaineers with a dominant week on the glass, averaging 13.0 rebounds per game while adding timely scoring to lead EOU to a pair of wins in Washington.

The junior forward was sensational against The Evergreen State College, recording a game-high 19 rebounds to go with 20 points, two steals, and a block while completely controlling the paint. His performance this weekend helped extend the Mounties' winning streak to five games and keep the team perfect in CCC action.

This marks Torkornoo's second career Player of the Week award, and the fourth for Eastern Oregon men's basketball this season.
