Ticket Punched: EOU Men’s Soccer Begins National Tournament Journey Against Concordia (Neb.)

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University Men's and Women's Soccer are set to take the national stage this week as both programs open NAIA Championship play on Thursday. The men will travel to Olathe, Kansas, while the women head to Marion, Indiana. This year's NAIA Championships feature 40 teams across both brackets, with first- and second-round action scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 22. Winners from each pod will advance to finals week beginning Dec. 1, culminating in a national champion crowned on Dec. 8.

Eastern Oregon punched its ticket to the NAIA National Championships after a historic season that included winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference Regular Season Championship. Though the Mountaineers fell to Bushnell University in penalty kicks during the conference tournament semifinals, their regular-season title secured an automatic bid to the national tournament.

EOU will open national play in Kansas, facing Concordia (Neb.) in a neutral-site matchup hosted by MidAmerica Nazarene on Pioneer Soccer Field. Kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. CT. A victory would send the Mountaineers to the second round on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, where they would meet No. 7 MidAmerica Nazarene.

Eastern Oregon enters the tournament with a 13-0-5 record as the Cascade Conference Champions. Concordia arrives with a 12-8 record after winning the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament, while MidAmerica Nazarene boasts a 13-2-5 record as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament Champion.

Complete men's first- and second-round details are available on the NAIA website, with live streaming provided free through Urban Edge Network.
