Mounties Reach 20 Wins with Fifth-Straight Sweep

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Top-ranked Eastern Oregon University volleyball reached its 20th win of the season on Saturday evening, completing its fifth-straight sweep against The Evergreen State College. The Mountaineers defeated the Geoducks with set scores of 25-10, 25-7, and 25-8.

EOU (20-0, 12-0 CCC) didn't miss a beat after last night's dominant win, as the Mounties hit .394 while holding TESC to a -.063 percentage. Eastern held a significant advantage in nearly every statistical category, including an impressive 45 kills to the Geoducks' 14.

Once again, the attack was led by Keira Vaughn who hit .615 with eight kills while wrapping up an errorless weekend. Kiauna Mack was close behind with seven kills on a .500 percentage. The pair also contributed a block and a dig each.

Quarterbacking the effort for the Mountaineers was Kate Stidham with 16 assists and Ava Semprimoznik with 11. Brooklyn Willard also put up a strong overall performance with a team-high 13 digs, 6 kills (.333 pct.), two aces, and a block.

With another successful road trip under its belt, EOU has just the momentum it needs heading into next weekend's conference action. The Mounties will first face No. 4 Corban University in Salem on Friday, before heading down I-5 to (RV) Bushnell University on Saturday.

The Warriors are currently three games behind Eastern at second place in the CCC standings, and were recently upset by the Beacons who sit alone in fourth.
