KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In a testament to academic excellence, every program within the Eastern Oregon University athletics department earned the prestigious NAIA Scholar Team Award as part of the NAIA's National Awards Day announced on Monday. The Cascade Collegiate Conference was well-represented with 127 teams achieving the honor, and Eastern Oregon contributed to this achievement by having all of its programs meet the academic criteria for the 2023-24 year.
To qualify for the NAIA Scholar Team Award, teams must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA calculation includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
