Mountaineers Take Commanding Win Over Lions

LA GRANDE, Ore. — The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers dominated the court in a decisive victory over the Multnomah Lions with a final score of 87-64 on Friday night.

Bayley Brennan led the charge for the Mountaineers with an impressive performance, sinking five three-pointers and accumulating a total of 23 points. Brie Holecek also added 18 points, while Beverly Slater finished the night with a huge 17-rebound performance.

Eastern Oregon took control of the game from the start, doubling Multnomah's point total in the first half. The Mountaineers showcased their offensive efficiency, shooting 48.3% from the field, including an impressive 40% from beyond the arc.

On the defensive end, Eastern Oregon limited Multnomah's scoring opportunities, holding them to just 34.2% shooting from the field. However, the Lions' defensive pressure was a highlight as well, converting 20 points off 17 forced turnovers.

Despite Multnomah's 24-point third quarter and 21 points from Reya Lee, they struggled to keep pace with Eastern Oregon's relentless offense.

With this win, Eastern Oregon improves to 15-6 overall and 11-6 in the CCC, while Multnomah falls to 5-18 overall and 2-15 in conference play. The Mountaineers will return to Quinn Coliseum for tomorrow's matchup with Warner Pacific University, set to tip-off at 3:00 p.m.
