LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers struggled against the College of Idaho Yotes, falling 103-57 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Game of the Week on Saturday night at Quinn Coliseum. The Mountaineers were unable to keep pace with the Yotes, who remain undefeated in conference play.
The Yotes set the tone early, opening the game with a 7-0 run and building a commanding 50-21 halftime lead. A balanced offensive attack, led by Johnny Radford's 16 points, showcased C of I's depth, as 14 players entered the scoring column. The Mountaineers struggled to find their rhythm, shooting just 31% from the field, including 14.8% from beyond the arc.
Eastern Oregon was led by Malachi Afework, who provided a team-high 14 points. TJ Doman added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Garrett Hawkes contributed 10 points.
