Eastern Oregon Shuts Out Bushnell in 3-0 Victory

EUGENE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon secured a 3-0 shutout against Bushnell University on Saturday afternoon at Civic Park.

After a scoreless first half with both teams trading off-target shots, the Mountaineers found their stride in the second half. Manuel Rodriguez broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, finishing off an assist from Nathan Marshall to give EOU a 1-0 lead. Just five minutes later, Rene Prieto doubled the Mounties' lead with an assist from Daniel Kropf. EOU kept up the offensive pressure, with Milton Hernandez adding the final goal in the 72nd minute, assisted by Adan Rios.

The Mountaineers' offense showed well, tallying 24 shots with seven on target, while Bushnell managed 15 shots. EOU's defense held strong, allowing only two shots on goal from the Beacons.

The match saw two yellow cards, one for each team, with Zander Harer of Bushnell cautioned in the 61st minute and EOU's Kyler Klomp in the 83rd.
