Mounties Tame Wolves in Saturday Night Showdown

LA GRANDE, Ore. - In a commanding performance, the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers secured a decisive 101-69 victory over Walla Walla University to move to 4-10 on the year and 3-5 in CCC play. Walla Walla with the loss falls to 3-10 and 2-5 in CCC contests.

From the opening tip-off, the Mountaineers established control, dominating the first half with a 53-30 lead. The Walla Walla Wolves faced challenges in containing Eastern Oregon's offense, particularly struggling to defend against AJ Huddleston, who finished the game with a perfect 7-of-7 showing, contributing 21 points.

Eastern capitalized on good looks all evening shooting at a 56.3% clip from the field throughout the game. Jaden Hansen's contributions were notable, going 6-of-8 and finishing with 16 points. Jonny Hillman put together another all around game, scoring 11 points and securing 4 rebounds, while posting another strong defensive performance with 2 steals..

On the other side, the Walla Walla Wolves struggled to find a rhythm, shooting at 42.6% from the field. Ethan Ford led the Wolves with 14 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Mountaineers.
