KLAMATH FALLS- Ore.- No. 25 ranked Eastern Oregon was back in action Saturday afternoon as they took on the No. 1 ranked Hustlin' Owls of Oregon Tech for games three and four of the series. OIT ultimately took both games of the double header by a score of 8-0 after five innings in game one and 1-0 in game 2.
GAME 1
Eastern Oregon struggled to find their groove against the Hustlin' Owls as the Mountaineers could only find three hits in the early afternoon match up. Oregon Tech was led in the circle by Kacie Schmidt who went the distance allowing just three hits while adding eight strikeouts. Schmidt and the Hustlin' Owls ultimately took game 1 by a score of 8-0 after five innings.

GAME 2
Eastern Oregon was led in the circle in game 2 by Jessica Touchard who went the distance for the Mounties allowing just two hits while adding two strikeouts. It was a similar story to game 1 for the Mountaineers at the plate as they struggled to find their flow. The 0-0 tie was ultimately broken in the fourth inning as a two out throwing error allowed Mckenzie Staub to score, giving the Hustlin' Owls a 1-0 lead. The run proved to ultimately be the difference as the Hustlin' Owls closed out the Mounties taking game two by a score of 1-0.

Eastern will be back in action Friday, Apr. 14 as they return home to take on Northwest University for a four game series. Game 1 of the matchup is set for 2 p.m. at Peggy Anderson Softball Field.
