LA GRANDE, Ore.- Eastern Oregon was back in action Saturday afternoon as they took on the Beacons of Bushnell University for a Cascade Collegiate Conference double header. The Mounties showed to be too much for the Beacons as they were able to take the first game by a score of 13-1 in five innings and the second game by a score of 11-3, also in five innings.

EOU was led in game one in the circle by Kaylie Hoskins. Hoskins went the distance, throwing five no hit innings for the Mounties adding an impressive 13 strikeouts. A pair of Mounties had big games at the plate as both Haley Tyree and Haley Ebner accounted for four runs batted in. Maddy Statler also added two RBI's of her own as the Mounties rolled to a 13-1 game one victory. The lone run for the Beacons was unearned as Ericka Allen scored on a fielding error by Eastern.

Game 2
Eastern found themselves behind early as Hannah Tennant gave the Beacons a 1-0 lead after a single to right center scored Madison Steelman. An Addison Ribody two-run homerun in the bottom of the first inning regained the lead for the Mounties. A fourth inning two-run homerun by the Beacons Faith Wayman knotted the game up at three all. Eastern responded, scoring six runs in the bottom of the fourth and one in the fifth propelling them to an 11-3 final.
