ORANGE, Calif. – Eastern Oregon University struggled to find traction against Chapman University Friday evening. The Panthers poured it on to take a 27-1 victory. With the loss the Mounties fall to 0-3 on the year.
The scoring started early for Chapman who notched 13 goals in the first quarter, eight of which were unassisted. Chapman's offense slowed over the next three quarters but steadily increased their lead adding three goals in the second, six in the third, and five in the fourth. EOU's lone goal on the day came via free position shot when
Maddy Woodruff scored with 10 minutes to go in the game.
Eastern wraps up their California road trip on Saturday taking on Whittier College. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
