LA GRANDE, Ore- The Mountaineers were back in action Sunday afternoon as they took on the Wildcats of Linfield University. Eastern showed to be too much for the Wildcats, taking the dual in dominant fashion, 42-6. 

The Mountaineers jumped out to an early lead after three Linfield forfeits taking the score to 15-0 before the first matchup of the afternoon. The Mountaineers added 10 more points to their score after an Erin Redford match victory over Lindfield's Emily Sullenger and a Wildcat forfeit in the 130 pound division, taking the score to 25-0 in favor of Eastern. Back to back pins allowed the Mounties to extend their already large lead. The first by Erin Redford over Lindfield's Brielle Brick. The next by Liv Wieber over the Wildcats Klaira Flatt at the 0:36 mark of the match. Eastern added seven more points to finish out the day to their total after wins in the 155 pound and 170 pound divisions. The Wildcats picked up their first point of the day in a loss as Olivia Robinson beat Kami Hart in an 8-6 decision. Linfeield then added five points after a forfeit by the Mountaineers taking the final score of the match to 42-6.
