LA GRANDE, Ore. – 17th-ranked Mountaineer Women's Wrestling wraps up regular season action this weekend as the team will battle in their final dual of the year. The Mountaineers head West to Salem to battle another in-state foe.

• The Mountaineers (4-5, 0-2 CCC) will look to close out the regular season on a high note with their fifth dual win of the year.
• Eastern will look to bounce back from a tough setback, dropping a 37-8 dual last weekend to No. 3 Southern Oregon.
• This Thursday's dual will be the lone match-up against Corban for the 2021-22 season for EOU.
• Following the dual, EOU will turn its focus to the CCC Championships which will take place Feb. 27.

• Corban University is excited to welcome fans back to Warrior athletic events. In compliance with statewide mandates, for any events hosted inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, all fans must wear a facial covering while indoors, except while eating and drinking.
• Proof of vaccination and negative COVID-19 tests are NOT required for entry into any home athletic event. The mask mandates above apply to all individuals, regardless of vaccination status.
• All fans must abide by the safety measures related to facial coverings and social distancing mentioned below. Corban University reserves the right to ask any spectator to leave if he or she fails to abide by campus safety measures.

• Eastern checks in at No. 17 in the latest NAIA Top-20 Poll. The Mountaineers have now been ranked in every poll this season.
• Five wrestlers are individually ranked in
Stephanie Blankenship at 109 pounds (13th),
Macy Higa at 123 pounds (16th),
Morgan Shines at 130 pounds (13th),
Dempsi Talkington at 155 pounds (6th), and
Olivia Robinson at 170 pounds (5th).
• The next set of NAIA Top-20 rankings will be released Thursday, Feb. 10.
Scouting the Warriors
• The young Corban squad is 1-2 on the year in what is the program's second year of existence. At home, the Warriors are 1-1 in dual action.
• Tess Barnett leads the way at 116 pounds with an 8-3 record on the year. She has scored five pins and one tech fall this season.
• At 123 pounds, Iyazely Barraza is 8-4 this season. She also has five wins this season by way of fall.
• 143-pound grappler Ivy Kraght sports just one loss on the year andis 8-1 overall. She has two tech falls and a trio of pins this year.
• Also at eight wins is Gabrielle Tat-Rodrigues. She is 8-5 at 155 pounds and has a tem best three tech falls this season.
• Just under eight wins is Alexys Zepeda who is 7-3 at 155 pounds. She is also tied for the team lead in tech falls with three.
Up Next
• The Mountaineers will begin postseason action with the CCC Championships which will take place Feb. 27. Hosting this year's Championships will be University of Providence in Great Falls, Montana.
