Mounties Take Snowy Victory

Box Score

HELENA, Mont.- The Mountaineers were back in action as they traveled to snowy Montana to take on Carroll College. The Mounties would not be fazed by the playing conditions as they were able to ultimately take the match 4-0.

Eastern controlled the game from the kick off tallying 13 shots in the first half and 21 total for the match. The Mountaineers were the first to strike as Jordanni Osuna was able to sneak past the Carroll defense, finding the back of the net to give the Mounties a 1-0 lead. This would be the game winning goal of the match as the EOU was able to go the distance holding Carroll scoreless. Eastern was not done there as they were able to tack on three more goals in the match. One came in the 37th minute when Marcos Bravo was able to score unassisted. The last goals came just three minutes apart in the 86th minute when Edgar Perez found the back of the net and finally in the 89th minute Carlos Murillo scored off a nice assist from Edgar Perez.

This win takes the Mounties to 8-7-1 on the season and 5-6 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Eastern Oregon will be back in action Friday, Oct. 28th at 6:30 p.m. as they kick off the front half of senior weekend against Evergreen State at Community Stadium in La Grande, Ore.
